Welcome to episode three. What are they doing differently? Okay, so imagine this. You're [00:01:00] driving someplace and you see an amazing car. I've seen those cars. Yeah, so the amazing car, oh, you're driving along and you see a house that's like, wow, look at that house.
It's a showstopper, and you think, what did those people do that live in that house? What is it that they do? The important question to ask yourself, because chances are they are business owners. The important question to ask yourself is what is it that they are doing differently in their business that you can do in your business to have more cash flow, to be more successful?
To take the amazing vacations. To provide a life for yourself and your family that you want. How is it that they have all that, and how can you have that too? What we do at Business Builders is take you from wondering about it to actually implementing the steps and making your goals and dreams a reality.
Look around at other companies. What's [00:02:00] different between those that have revenue over 5 million and your company. Before you get too technical, hold on a second, I'm gonna give you the answers. Number one, you're surrounded by the wrong people. Number two, you hired cheap instead of smart. Number three, you think you have all the answers.
You don't know what you should know. Ego, your ego's in the way, and you're unwilling, unwilling to reach out for help or you think you can't afford help. Or even worse, you've reached out to someone and you've been burned before because they didn't help you do anything. Or number six, you're paying attention to the wrong things and you're absolutely not focused.
Or you go to a rah rah event and you get all supercharged up and you get back and you start doing like dumb things, but even faster. These events are not the best.
The hard truth is if you don't get some professional help with your business, you will struggle and not reach your goals.
So the idea is [00:03:00] hire a coach, join association.
Find someone who is successfully doing what it is that you want to do and copy them. Copy
them completely. That's what Tony Robbins said that years ago. He said, the quickest way to success is to find someone who's successfully doing what you're doing, what you want to do, and copy them completely, and you will be successful too.
So who is your first mentor? My first mentor, of course, was my dad, and then, after I opened my business, my first mentor with my company was a fellow by the name of Harry, who owned a number of pharmaceutical companies up in New York. And he came down and actually helped me to understand I was still running a sole proprietorship at the time, and I didn't realize I needed to have a corporate veil between me and the public.
And so, he coached me to get set up as a corporation and I've had so many mentors ever since then. At one time, I had five paid mentors during the same [00:04:00] time, and that's helped me to get my personal income to over a million dollars a year.
I had the same kind of experience. My first mentors were my brothers.
I worked for one brother who had a dental clinic. Yeah. And then I worked for another brother who had a chiropractic office. But honestly, no offense to them, they were not the best mentors because they created jobs for themselves, and that's what I ended up doing too. I created a job for myself. It wasn't until I hired a mentor that I really saw that there's a whole world of business that I had no idea about.
The idea of the business is to provide the business owner with time freedom, money freedom, to be able to do what it is that you wanna do, where you wanna do it with who you wanna do it with.
Certainly, traveling falls into that for us. Yeah, we've been averaging 130 days of travel per year for the last 13 years, so I know what I like to do and I know who I like to go [00:05:00] travel with.
So freedom is really, really important. And so time Freedom, money
freedom. A confession is that we don't really go to our business very often. We stop in, oh, about two days a week. You, Jerry says it really great. He says, hire good people.
Hire good people. Pay them what they're worth. Let them do their job.
Stay the hell outta their way. Check in frequently. You must inspect what you expect. Yes, and as long as you're inspecting what you expect, your expectations will be.
As and because your ex part of your expectation is that they follow your systems and when they follow the systems and you inspect and you can see what it is that they are doing, then that's perfect.

Who? And two, can you copy them? Can you copy their business model, [00:06:00] copy what they're doing.

Yeah. Tony Robbins said years ago, the quickest way to success is to find someone who is successfully doing what you're what you want to do, and copy them completely. And chances are you'll be successful as well. Perfect.
